New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera throws against the Oakland A's at the then named McAfeee Coliseum, May 15, 2005. The last to ever wear the ever 'hallowed' number 42 worn by Jackie Robinson, Rivera was 'grandfathered' in by Major League Baseball and wore the number until his retirement in 2014.
