Bay Bridge lights will continue to shine

With budget dwindling for the new western span of the Bay Bridge’s ever changing lights, the popular ‘attraction’ faced its possible end come March 2015. Despite, according to the SF Gate, a fundraising effort was made a success by a $2 million matching grant from local philanthropist Tad Taube.

Although the bridge will go dark for nearly a year, the 25,000 LEDs will be re-lit early 2016, allegedly in time for Super Bowl 50, which will be held at the 49ers’ Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., February 7, 2016.
